using a ramp provided for you called an "off-ramp."
When you're driving on a street
and want to get on a major freeway or interstate,
you use a ramp provided for you called the on-ramp.
An owner-operator is a driver who
owns his/her truck. S/he runs their truck like
a business. The owner-operator uses the money
s/he gets from picking up and delivering loads to
give themselves a salary (paycheck!!) and to pay for
fuel, taxes, permits. maintenance (oil changes, new
tires, etc.) and repairs of the truck.
